Hand-cranked hoists are used for formwork installation on construction sites
published:2026-01-27

On the construction site, the gray and white templates are like an unfolded three-dimensional painting, quietly waiting to be precisely shaped. The workers held hand cranked gourds, a seemingly small but powerful tool that became their common tool for fixing templates.

As the workers forcefully pulled the chain, the hand-operated hoist produced a rhythmic sound of "click click click", as if it were a unique rhythm on the construction site. The metal chain tightens between the gears, driving the template to slowly approach and calibrate. Every turn requires workers to be fully focused and adjust the force according to the status of the template. Sweat slid down the edge of the safety helmet, blurring their eyes, but they didn't care about wiping and stared closely at the gaps in the template to ensure that every part was tightly sealed.

Those seemingly bulky templates, with the tacit cooperation of workers and hand cranked gourds, are firmly fixed, creating a sturdy "cradle" for the concrete to be poured, witnessing the wonderful process of architecture moving from drawings to reality.
