Why can't the hand-operated hoist be used like a group hoist
published:2024-12-03

If you are not a professional group hoist, Guanhang suggests that you should not share multiple hand cranked hoists. If the load is not enough, you can choose a larger hand cranked hoist. Although sharing multiple hand cranked hoists can theoretically increase the load capacity, there are actually significant safety hazards, and the main reasons for these hazards are as follows.

Safety issue: The design and mechanical structure of the hand-operated hoist are designed for a single operator to operate. If two people use a hand cranked hoist at the same time, it may lead to uncoordinated operation and increase the risk of accidents. The operator may apply asynchronous or inconsistent force during the operation process, which may cause the chain hoist to lose control or become unstable.

Power distribution problem: Hand cranked hoists rely on the operator's strength to lift and lower heavy objects. If two people use a manual hoist at the same time, power distribution may become difficult. Applying different forces may cause the gourd to lose balance, and heavy objects may become unstable or tilt.

Difficulty in operation: Hand cranked hoists are usually tools used by a single operator, and the design of the handle and control device is optimized for single person operation. When two people work together, there may be coordination difficulties, poor communication, and other issues, leading to a decrease in work efficiency.

These are the main reasons why hand cranked hoists cannot be shared by multiple units like group hoists, mainly due to safety issues. If you have more questions about hand cranked hoists, please feel free to follow us at any time.
